  • Updates On Piaggio Vespa LX 125
    Piaggio introduced its 2012 Vespa LX 125 at 2012 Auto Expo and reentered the Indian motorcycle industry after 13 years. Originally, it has joint ventures with LML and Bajaj till 1991. It re-surfaced with its new Vespa LX 125, which is powered by a 125cc four-stroke engine and mated to continuously variable transmission for smooth performance. The Vespa LX 125′s pilot batch will be available in white color; all of which will be designed and engineered at Piaggio’s manufacturing facility in India situated at Baramati, Maharashtra. The executives of Piaggio are leaving no stone unturned, and are taking care of all the features of Vespa LX125.   • Triumph Explorer 1200: What do you want to know?
    Next week MCN will be riding the Triumph Explorer 1200 at its world debut in Spain, which will be powered by a three-cylinder engine generating 139 horsepower. It uses all-new shaft drive system and chassis, which the company hopes will out it ahead of best selling BMW R1200GS Adventure and BMW R1200S.   • Moto Guzzi California 1400 Leaked
    Images leaked for behind closed door dealer, convention provide an excellent view of all-new Moto Guzzi 1400cc California Cruiser. In 2011, the company unveiled a poorly kit, single image of prototype California cruiser with 1400cc powerplant. Now it reveals plenty of details of production version of its Cruiser with leaked images from raft of design drawings and dealer convention. With extensive plastic covers and poor lighting on prototype in 2011, much speculation arose over whether or not the powerplant was water cooled. However, it seems to be utilizing extensive oil cooling instead of conventional water cooling.   • New Aprilia Caponord 1200 Unveiled
    The Italian motorcycle manufacturing company has revealed its long anticipated Aprilia Caponord 1200, which is designed and engineered to compete with machines like Ducati Multistrada 1200 as dual-sport road-oriented tourer. It was revealed at annual dealer convention of Piaggio Group in Monte Carlo. Referred to as either Caponord or Tuareg, both renewals of old company badges for its dual sport motorcycles, it is clearly based on existing Dorsoduro. The Caponord shares the same frame, part steel and part alloy design along with suspension and Double Overhead Camshaft V-Twin powerplant. In Dorsoduro, the powerplant is offered as both 749cc 92 horsepower and 1197cc 130 horsepower engine. For the Aprilia Caponord 1200 that clearly has more of long distance touring intention, the larger engines seems most likely to be used.

  • 2012 Suzuki WSB GSX-R1000 Introduced
    Suzuki revealed its 2012 GSX-R and named Bespoke Foreign Exchange Solution firm Fixi as co-little sponsor for Leon Camier and John Hopkins’ 2012 World Superbike Championship title assault. It was unveiled at Verwood Headquarters of Suzuki in Dorset and was preparing to be marketed to Australia for testing in lead up to opening round of 2012 World Superbike Championship at Phillip Island on 26th February.
